Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Worcester County Correction Officer’s NEPBA Local #550 to ensure fair and equitable treatment of the Officers and Sergeants employed by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.  Our goal is to negotiate fair wages, benefits and treatment that will help to ensure a positive quality of life for our brothers and sisters and their families.  We will fight to make sure our members, their families and the community, are as safe as possible, by demanding proper working conditions and a more secure facility.

We will strive to protect our members from unjust and exorbitant disciplinary action by utilizing informal agreements as well as filing formal grievances and litigation.  Worcester County Correction Officer’s Local #550 will help to develop and maintain a rapport with the General Public and will continue to strengthen that bond through, though not limited to, charity functions and informational events.  We will strengthen our political awareness by developing and maintaining a Political Action Committee and by endorsing qualified candidates for public office who will assist us in our fight to ensure the rights our working men and women.
